Engineer Make The World Move

Why So Many CEOs Are Engineers,

Jeff Bezos, Amazon
Tim Cook, Apple
Sundar Pichai, Alphabet
Lisa Su, AMD
Elon Musk, Tesla

These top 100 high performing companies CEOs, all have particular skills in common. It is "Engineering Mindset", which they always focus on the product.

I, myself, was a mechanical engineering graduate too. I find myself during my internship in a factory, we "Engineers" always work on things to improve every day either on the process or the product itself. Engineers never settle, as if we don't find things to improve, our life will be pointless.

Engineering disciplines are to design, build, create and innovate. These are problem-solving skills nature that developed from practicing calculus, algebra, and dynamics etc. Which they are transferable "thinking process" in business scenarios. Moreover, business is about exchanging value from improving humans’ everyday life. And Engineering Mindset is a great component in the equation with the world keep advancing for betterment than yesterday.

Engineers do make the world move. However, these CEOs are still not just typical engineers, but they are able to find purposes for the organisation. Trust me, engineers sometimes do build unnecessary products.
