As COVID-19 Pandemic occur, conventional retail businesses are unable to have a high traffic of customers visiting their fixed-located stores since the people movement are restricted with the ‘movement control order’. These restrictions make the retail businesses adapt to use an online platform such as social media to market their products and Amazon to sell their products. Imagine if this pandemic occurs back then in the early 90s where the internet was still an infant, maybe they need to close down their businesses.

This makes Amazon a saviour from an enemy in the eye of retail businesses. Amazon is an outcast and a trendsetter. In the future, soon, every business will have most of their sales through online than their physical stores.

I’m in the business development role and I no longer need to go across the states to meet potential clients (that may also result in an unsuccessful deal). With the internet, I can connect with leads via video calls and share highly interactive information easily.

However, it is easier to build trust by interacting with customers face-to-face. And these are the challenges of online business, is it very steep exponential growth with slow starting because very few early adopters will try first and the business need to reduce the entry price for the mass market at the beginning. Trust only can be created from past customers reviews. And there are influencers to promote the products. Influencers with a high number of followers will be contacted by many businesses asking for them to promote the products.

Or maybe the company employees or shareholders can be the influencer (like Elon Musk) to create followers and then promote the company products.

The world atmosphere has been collected carbon dioxides since the first industrial revolution. And, with these massive volumes of carbon dioxides that still stay in the air, make planting a lot of trees in the growing populated areas are unfeasible and not cost-effective actually.  

Now, there are 15 direct air capture plants that capturing 9 thousand tonnes of carbon dioxide annually. And Climeworks (the Swiss engineering startup) has built the largest direct air capture and storage plant (carbon capture machine) named 'Orca' that can extract a volume of carbon emissions that is equivalent to about 870 cars emission for a year permanently. The plant has container-sized boxes that fit with fans that pull air and filter out the carbon dioxides contains. Then the capture carbon dioxides will dissolve in water as solutions and pump to the underground, over time, the solutions underneath will be hardened into stone.

However, these plants are expensive to operate and selling captured carbon dioxide for industry uses will make more harm. Therefore, this technology is a great investment for the country that committed to The Paris Climate Agreement and putting extreme high taxes on high emitters industry players. Hence, if the companies want to reduce their high carbon emission tax, they need to contribute and make a subscription to support the country carbon-capturing projects, these contributions will be uses to operate and maintain the plant.

These can be crucial steps to enable the world to create and adopt sustainable technologies that don't make pollution while the industries are contributing to funding the carbon-capturing projects in a way to redeem their emissions. It is a zero-sum game; the authorities, societies and industries are helping together to keep the world a healthier place.

Besides, many commercial facilities are building free charging ports to attract more visitors.

However, these carports that we start to always see at the gas stations or malls are expensive to build with digging the ground to place the cable that is connected to the utility grid. As the water evaporates, this will separate them from the salt, this should be done in the controlled temperatures to prevent distillation instead - the separation of water from the nutrients which the human body needed them as well. Then, the desalinated water will be drip into the tank and collected as drinkable water.
 
Hence, technology is the solution for human well being, supported by engineering skills that by using available and accessible resources to create tools to overcome the barriers.

In the shipping industry, the company Yara International has built Yara Birkeland a zero-emission and autonomous cargo ship. Yara Birkeland is capable to carry 103 containers and travel at a top speed of 13 knots and it is powered by a 7 Mwh battery equivalent to one thousand electric vehicles batteries.  

Electric Sea Freight like Yara Birkeland is the solution to maintain the carried items’ prices even fuel prices are changing in variances every time (note: if the electricity is from renewable energy sources that are free and unlimited at a certain time of the day - this can be supported by the battery storage). Since, like always, fuel prices never stay stagnant and simultaneously indirectly affect the retail prices of the carried items too. This creates difficulty for the businesses and consumers when required to purchase essential items at sudden high prices.

Furthermore, other benefits are, electric sea freight have lesser moving components and which requires less maintenance. Less maintenance is beneficial because this can cut down the undeployed time of the sea freight. As we can see now, the sea freight supply readiness is limited to support the growing demand for online purchases between countries/seas.

Besides, Windcatcher is cheaper to produce as with the small turbines they don’t require a big mould and simultaneously don't require high heat energy to manufacture as for 107 metres big blades. Furthermore, Windcatcher is cheaper to run with their smaller turbines, since the only particular damaged turbine only will be repaired or replace as other turbines still operating, this design can avoid downtime or power shut down because of maintenance. These will contribute to the country being able to achieve higher energy per cost of investment. As countries are developing feasible technologies to stop the reliance on fossil fuels (hydrocarbon) as a primary energy source, the world has already been damaged by a high amount of greenhouse gases that have been emitted since the onset of the Industrial Revolution. Hence the world temperature has been too high to lower down to The Paris Climate Agreement preferable goal of below 1.5 degrees celcius.

Therefore, at the same time, we need to start developing technologies to capture these already emitted carbon dioxides in the atmosphere. However, these technologies that will come out in near future should not be a reason for the industry to keep relying on fossil fuels, as the purpose is not to maintain the carbon level but also to reduce them as lowest as possible over time. With the known downsides of the carbon substances in our life, we hope we will be able to breathe clean air in the future.

For a team that successfully come out with carbon removal solutions to capture at least 1000 tonnes of carbon dioxide in one year. They will be funded with 100 Million Dollars from Elon Musk and the Musk Foundation, for the team to expand their research and development to increase the carbon capture rate of their breakthrough technology.

The will be the largest energy storage (as a centre) with the capacity of 409-MegaWatt capacity with 132 containers on 40 acres and each container hold about 400 battery modules. This storage centre can hold 900MWh of energy which can power up to 54,833 medium-sized homes for 12 hours equivalent it can power a low-density state overnight.
 
The largest energy storage may be a solution for the states to adapt with energy as a sustainable utility for homes. But due to the technology demand for spaces may not make it the best general solution for every geographical place or their demography.
 
I have enlightened that the state can make homes compulsory to construct with equipped underground battery space and the battery units will be provided by the state. These battery units from each home are actually to share with the rest of the neighbourhood instead of for self-consumption. Because humans activities are varied every time as no one have rigid lifestyles. Furthermore, in actual reality, the self-consumption system may have excess when the households are not at their homes in that particular months (school holiday etc.), and this excess with a network of share energy storage system can be utilized by other homes that require more electricity in that particular period.
 
Therefore for future developments, sharing energy storage systems across the state may be the solution to combat the barrier of having limited real estate to build an energy storage facility, instead, rather than wasting lands, the state can set up a solar farm to power all homes and buildings (as not all buildings with flat roof or enough space to install solar panels). Other than that, the 40 acres can be utilized to build a complex for economic development and for the residents' social wellbeing.

There is no better way to actually live together prosperously and equally as a society with unlimited resources...

Hence, high storage batteries are not a magic bullet to solve the main issues of having electric vehicles that repel the majority of the consumer to not adapting towards future sustainable technology.

The infrastructure can be the essential factor to support the usability of electric vehicles, such as embedding charging technology in the roads, however, these will cost a lot from overhauling the whole roads and highways. Moreover, putting a ground charging car park may not be practical for the vehicles that are always on the move. To emphasize here, the complete transition to electric vehicles is essential to make the electric vehicles viable for the future, which by making vehicles for deliveries and patrolling are practically accessible to the energy conveniently. Right now, filling up a tank in few minutes is very practical in a fast-moving society and forgetting to charge an electric vehicle overnight will be a disaster on the next day.

In addition, the price not only gets more economical, furthermore, the technologies able to generate higher electricity significantly.

We love our world that we will keep pursuing on innovations to keep our world sustainable. Electric Vehicle (EV) has already reached large awareness throughout the world with their goodness compared to Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) Vehicle in terms of features, prices, running cost, performances and the impact to the environment and the society.

EV does removing the emissions when travelling, which make them better than ICE. However, the EV has not yet solved the problem of not completely stop reliance on coal plants as the major source of energy. Other than that, not every home are equipped with a solar system to power their EV sustainably and economically.
 
But now, Lightyear, the company have built a better innovation that can less rely on the grid power and at the same time make the product accessible to own economically at everywhere, especially for settler that lives far from the city or charging/petrol station.

Their EV called 'One' are covered with solar cells on top of the roof and hood, furthermore, with one hour of charging using solar energy, the One can travel up to 12 kilometres. Plus, the black solar cells might make the "new-trendy" sporty look for EVs like ICEs using carbon fibre material hood. In addition, the EV is designed in the best aerodynamically shape to reduce its drag and save energy while travelling.

These breakthrough innovations will make the industry embarking on the journey to make transport not only completely sustainable but also can self-generate their energy without reliance on the grid or charging infrastructure. This will improve human life efficiently as we do not need to worry about the capability of the EV to travel at a longer distance since the One has travelled about 710 kilometres on a single charge since the One can travel while charging using solar cells.

We not only need the energy to travel, but we also need to use the energy for home appliances and gadgets (smartphone included). Moreover, our consumption of energy will always increase as more innovation & invention / technology advances & new technologies will be added in our lives. But we don't need more wires. 
 
Enlightened by Solar Photovoltaic System, we can extract energy from the sun, therefore, we can reverse the process by following The Law of Conservation of Energy.

How it works: 
The "Transmitter" connected to the socket acts as an inverter to convert energy from AC to safe radiation. Then, the receiver at the charging port will detect and receiving the energy transfer once the user enters the radiation radar. The "Receiver" will convert it to the AC and charge the phone. And we continue with our daily chores with worry-less enjoying the Spotify Playlist for 10 hours straight or play games for 10 hours straight.

Currently, in the market, there is wireless near-field energy transfer with the Charging Platform for the phone to be placed on it to charge "wirelessly". But,... CONNECTED will enable our phone to charge in our pocket while on the move within the radar from the transmitter. Recommend for domestic use.
 
Right now, we, humans, are figuring out the reverse process to create the radiation to transfer energy in the free space without conductivity rather with waves to transfer electrical energy of a tightly focused radio beam at the optimum frequency and bandwidth as envisioned by Nikola Tesla. However, 5G infrastructure is at its infant to develop for energy transfer.
 
As an initiative, this modular device "CONNECTED" will be introduced in near future for home usage which can accelerate the continuable energy transfer technology in our lives. This transmitter device "CONNECTED" has a magnetic coil that induces a magnetic field that carries a frequency that is able to power light devices such as smartphones.
 
In the future, we are inspired to build a large scale transmitter (similar to a 5G tower but dedicated for electricity transfer) to emit high safe-radiation transferring large energy to use for the larger machines. As “We always connected to the internet. Machines can be connected to energy at all times too”. Furthermore, these new energy form that is non-physical and can't be touch unlike the conventional can reduce the storages in the value chain particularly removing the need of storage in the process (convention) stage.
