Now we are more reliant on our smartphones than ever to do many things in our lives daily from ordering food to playing games. Moreover, smartphones are becoming a productive tool that is heavily used over laptops.

With the Play Store or App Store, there are tonnes of new releases apps every day and developers are pushing the limits and the capabilities of the existing hardware. Consequently, the phone manufacturer is upgrading their phones frequently to push the new high limits of their phone capabilities for developers to explore and create or update their apps for new user experiences.

This makes upgrading to phones are essentials for society to keep up the productivity level and the conveniences. However, even some manufacturer is trying to build economical smartphones but society still needs to buy a new phone for the useful new features upgrade every year. Besides, this is not a sustainable personal investment to purchase new phones every year as technology are never meant to be "Consumable".

This situation is suitable with using modular phones with a longer use phone chassis but are universal in design to fit with third party gadgets or accessories. These phones can mix and match like Lego and are upgradable. Furthermore, this further expands the smartphones industry with the extension of the post value chain of third-party gadgets which creates many branches of niches markets. These niche markets are groups of users for certain activities such as photography, sport, working, editing and competitive games etc.
